Four commitments to PCC
Affordability that lasts to graduation
Enrollment is only the beginning. The costs that push students out of community college are textbooks, transportation, food, and housing, expenses financial aid rarely covers. David will make the full cost of attendance the board's yardstick, so that every student who starts at PCC can afford to finish, complete a certificate, or transfer.
Career pathways that lead somewhere
David spent his career in the fields where tomorrow's jobs are being created: cybersecurity, energy, and the systems that keep both running. He'll champion career and technical education that connects PCC students directly to employers: apprenticeships, industry partnerships, and programs in cybersecurity, clean energy, health care, and the skilled trades.
A partner in rebuilding our community
Trustee Area 3 includes neighborhoods in Northwest Pasadena and Altadena still recovering from the Eaton Fire. PCC should be an engine of that recovery: training the construction and trades workforce the rebuild demands, and standing with displaced students and families as they return home.
A board that builds consensus
A mediator's rules work in governance, too: listen first, prepare relentlessly, respect every voice, and turn disagreement into decisions that last. David will bring transparent budgeting, plain-language accountability, and a student-first standard to every vote the board takes.
